El Cheapo Player

Saw this inexpensive 3.5" (resistive) touchscreen on Amazon, complete with case, for $20, thought I'd see how it would work as a Squeezelite player/display.

Had to modify my Python script a bit, as the resolution is much lower than the Hyperpixel 4". The resistive touchscreen obviously doesn't perform very well, but I rarely use the touch function of the Hyperpixel, as I'm an album listener. The biggest issue is that the backlight isn't adjustable, so it's fairly bright (no way would it be suitable for a bedroom). I added a date/time display to the code for when it's not playing anything.

Any USB DAC will work with this, from a basic Apple headphone adapter to a Topping D10s all the way up to my preferred RME ADI-2 DAC FS. I'm currently running it with a Pi Zero, which will require a Dremel mod to get the back to fit (SD card sticks out), but a Pi 3A+ fits perfectly.

Will post the code on github once I get the touchpoints figured out and modified.

The photos are a bit overexposed for the 3.5", as it's quite bright. It's much sharper in reality.
